Privacy Policy
Provisional version · Owner review required. Based on the legal draft dated 28 October 2026. Not final approved terms.
Who we are
Orbital Digital is the trading name used on this website. This provisional notice is subject to owner review. You can use our Contact page to raise a privacy question.
Information we collect
When you contact us or submit an equipment or surveying enquiry, we may collect your name, email address, telephone number, organisation, enquiry details, requested products and quantities, preferred contact methods, and information you choose to provide. We may also process basic technical and security information such as IP addresses, timestamps and server logs. Do not send sensitive personal information unless specifically requested and necessary.
Why we use information and legal bases
We use enquiry details to respond, prepare quotations, discuss supply or surveying services, and take steps requested before entering a contract (UK GDPR Article 6(1)(b), where applicable). We may use relevant records to manage business communications, prevent misuse, maintain website security and improve administration based on legitimate interests (Article 6(1)(f), subject to balancing). We may retain records where required to meet legal obligations (Article 6(1)(c)). Marketing, if introduced, requires a separate assessment of applicable consent and electronic-marketing rules.
Sharing and service providers
Information may be accessed by authorised Orbital Digital personnel and service providers supporting hosting, database administration, communications and security. The site currently uses Lovable Cloud. Resend is intended for transactional email once activated; live transactional email delivery is not currently enabled. We do not describe information as sold to advertisers. We may disclose information where legally required.
International transfers
Some service providers may process information outside the UK. Provider processing locations and applicable transfer safeguards remain subject to verification and owner approval; this provisional notice does not confirm any particular transfer arrangement.
How long we keep information
Enquiry and related records are stored to support customer communications, quotations and business administration. A documented retention schedule remains subject to owner approval. Enquiries are not currently deleted automatically.
Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction or portability of your information, or object to processing based on legitimate interests. Where processing relies on consent, you may withdraw it. You can raise a request through our Contact page. You may also complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).
Security and children
We use proportionate organisational and technical safeguards, but no online service is completely risk-free. This website is intended for business enquiries and is not directed at children.
Changes
We may update this notice to reflect actual practices or legal requirements. This version is provisional and has no owner-approved effective date.
